Terms of Sale
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms apply when you buy a license of PDFjet from PDFjet Software. They are short, and written to be read.
Who we are
PDFjet is made by PDFjet Software, Unionville, Ontario, Canada. You can reach us by email at
What we sell
Licenses of PDFjet Pro for Java and PDFjet Pro for .NET, delivered as a download:
- Solo License, for one developer: $295 US
- Team License, for one to five developers: $695 US
- PDFjet Enterprise, for every developer of a company: by quote
Each is a one-time purchase, with no subscription and no renewal. Sales tax or VAT is added where the law requires it, and shown before you pay. What the license lets you do is in the End User License Agreement on the Buy License page of Java and .NET.
Who sells it
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders placed through its checkout: it takes the payment, charges the sales tax of your country, issues the invoice, and handles returns. Orders placed through the checkout of FastSpring, our earlier reseller, are sold by FastSpring as the Merchant of Record in the same way. The reseller's own terms of sale apply to the purchase.
Delivery
After you pay, you get the download link and your receipt by email. The receipt is your proof of license. A license certificate for your company's records is sent on request, within one business day.
Refunds and warranty
A full refund, for any reason, within 30 days of your purchase, and a 90-day warranty: a technical issue is resolved, or your money refunded. See Refund Policy.
Ending the license
The license lasts for ever, unless it is refunded or you break the End User License Agreement. Then it ends, and you stop using and distributing the Software and delete your copies of it. What you built and distributed while the license was valid stays licensed.
What we promise, and what we do not
Beyond the warranty above, the Software is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, PDFjet Software is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and its liability for anything else is limited to what you paid for the license. You agree to cover our costs of a claim against us that comes from your use of the Software in breach of these terms or of the law. Nothing here limits rights that the law of your country does not let a contract limit.
Events beyond our control
Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as a natural disaster, a war, or an outage of the internet or of a provider.
Transfer
You may transfer your license to another person or company by telling us in writing, as long as you keep no copy. We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over PDFjet.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at their top changes too. A purchase is governed by the terms in force on the day it was made.
The law, and disagreements
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and of Canada that apply in it. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most problems are solved by email. If not, the courts of Ontario decide. If you buy as a consumer, you also keep the protection that the consumer law of the country or province where you live gives you, and you may go to its courts.
